How to add a Polaroid-style frame to a photo online

What makes the Polaroid look

An instant photo has a thin border on three sides and a thicker strip at the bottom. That strip is where people wrote a date or a note. A digital version gives you the same space, and you can fill it with camera settings instead.

Make one

1. Open Shutterlune and drop your photo.
2. Choose a light mat frame from the gallery. The Minimal frame is a clean white mat with the settings centered below.
3. Want it to feel more like an instant photo? Open the Custom panel and make the bottom border thicker than the sides.
4. Add a caption such as a place or a short phrase, or leave the camera settings in place.
5. Download it. The exported image is a normal picture file you can post anywhere.

Tips

• Square and 4:5 crops look most like an instant photo. Use the crop shapes when you move the photo.
• Warm, slightly faded photos suit the look best.
• Save your setup as a preset, or share it as a link, so you can reuse it.
