How to view EXIF data on iPhone and Android

On iPhone

1. Open the photo in Photos.
2. Swipe up on the picture, or tap the info (i) button.
3. You will see the camera and lens, and details such as ISO, focal length, aperture and shutter speed.

Photos taken as HEIC work in Shutterlune too, so you do not need to convert them first.

On Android

1. Open the photo in your gallery or Google Photos.
2. Swipe up or tap the info button, or choose Details.
3. The phone model, date and camera settings are listed, depending on the app.

Put the settings on the picture

Social apps rarely show EXIF data, so the settings are hidden once you post. To print them on the image:

1. Open Shutterlune in your phone’s browser and tap to choose your photo.
2. Camera details fills in what the file contains. Edit anything that is missing.
3. Pick a frame, then download or share the image. See how to add camera settings to a photo.

If nothing shows up

Photos sent through messaging apps, screenshots, and images saved from the web often have no EXIF data. Use the original from your camera roll. If you use an in-app browser, such as one inside a social app, opening the page in your normal browser can also help.
